The main focus of YTT 2 is to build on YTT 1. In this course, students will learn how to construct and teach their own sequences. Students will also learn the Us signature YTT sequence, the Chakra Flow. This course will also include discussions around the Business of Yoga, Anatomy Clinics, and the Yoga Sutras Eight Limbs of Yoga and how they can be incorporated into a deeper yogic practice. Bodhi Yoga Utah Yoga Teacher Training Certification with Syl Carson.mov

The ESSF Program has partnered with Yoga Alliance to offer an accredited 200-Hour Yoga Certification. The program is broken down into three courses that can be taken for credit or non-credit and is available to students, staff, faculty, and members of the community. All three courses MUST be completed in order to complete the 200-hour program and the program is the same regardless of which course series is used to enroll.

ESSF 1800/1801/1802: These courses are for students wanting to take the program for academic credit and will earn a total of 7.5 credit hours for completing the program. Students can enroll for these courses through the CIS portal.


ESSF 800/801/802: These courses are for students who do not need the academic credit hours and are completing the program for personal or professional development. Students can enroll for these courses through www.continue.utah.edu or through the CIS portal.

PEPEC 800/801/802: These courses are designed for students looking to enhance their professional development. An application is required for this option and students will be provided with a digital badge for their online profile post-completion.     SALT LAKE CITY A Utah woman said shes led too many yoga classes to count. The Salt Lake City resident has helped many Utahns get certified to teach the ancient practice. Its where shes been coaching lately that caught our attention: prison.

    My mentor says, If you want to know where to serve in the world, go to your wounds. My wounds are here, said Denise Druce, choking up.

    My dad lived here for 15 years. That was when I was a teenager. It was a painful place for me to come, she said.

    Druce spoke with KSL inside the gymnasium of the Timpanogos Womens Correctional Facility at the Utah State Prison in Draper on Monday.

    Yoga isnt new at the prison. Volunteers have been teaching it there for more than a decade now.

    With the direction of Druce, the dedication of the women, the approval of the Department of Corrections, and scholarships from Yoga Assets, a state teacher training program, inmates are now becoming yoga teachers behind bars.

    I just wish while he was alive, he would have been able to do something like this, let alone when he was incarcerated, said Druce about her father.

      Participants must register for their spot before class. Sign up using our calendar below or on the RGPro Connect app on IOS or Android.

      Our class booking window is 3 days to ensure you have an opportunity to get into the classes you want, and that your lifes schedule doesnt change too much between now and then. There is a $5 charge for each no-show or late cancellation . If you have signed up for a class and you know you wont be able to attend, please go to your RGPro Connect app and cancel your registration at least 24 hours prior to the class time to avoid a charge and to give the spot to someone else.       Class Policies:

      Our in-person classes will be socially distanced, allowing a maximum of 11 students per class. Practitioners must bring their own mats and props and clean them before and after use we provide mat cleaner and towels. There will be sanitizer at the door and we ask everyone to wash and sanitize hands before and after classes.
