I started my health and wellness journey as a busy, full time working, mom with 15 minute freebie workouts, counting and restricting my favorite foods, only to see little to no change.

I was stressed out, overwhelmed, lacked life balance and had no routines or consistency. And above all else, I hated my body, I despised the size of my thighs, and I was constantly unhappy.

    Yin Yoga

    Yin Yoga is excellent option for those that want to gently transform their connective tissue and joints in a deeply meditative way.

    This practice helps to cool down your nervous system and align your energy centers, which may lead to a more balanced mind and body.

    In this practice you will stay in the poses for at least 3 minutes. If the floor is not an option, no worries! The same practice can be done seated in a chair or on a raised platform.

    Restorative Yoga

    Restorative Yoga is a gentle practice where the body is completely supported with the use of props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks and yoga straps. If you are new to props no worries! We will introduce them to you and show you how to use them. These items help you tailor the pose to your body.


    Once the body is truly relaxed that is when the magic happens! Your nervous system settles down and the healing begins. We stay in these poses anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes at a time.

    Gentle Yoga

    Gentle Yoga is perfect for all shapes, sizes, abilities and experience levels. In this practice you will experience a well rounded practice that will build strength, flexibility, balance, and peace of mind. We spend time exploring each pose and practice so we begin to connect to our body and find our way home to ourselves.

    Angela Gallagher has been practicing and studying yoga in London, India, Australia and the U.S since 1986. She studied for 2½ years with the Active Birth Center in London, England as a birth educator and pregnancy and postnatal yoga instructor. She has also participated in special teacher trainings for yoga for cancer patients, children and special needs. She is certified with the International Sivananda Yoga Vendanta Center, India.

    Angela is a certified Postural Alignment Therapist through the Egoscue Method Institute. Over the last 40 years, the Egoscue Methods unique approach to postural therapy has helped millions regain their natural body alignment and balance, allowing them to return to a pain free life. The Egoscue Method is particularly effective for relieving back, hip, shoulder, neck and knee pain as well as eliminating carpal tunnel and plantar fasciitis.

    Utilizing over 20 years of experience working with clients, Angela will develop an individualized program for you, merging 5,000 year old yogic lifestyle techniques with Egoscue Alignment exercises to help relieve you of emotional and physical pain and stress.     Most women prefer to wear tank tops or a sports bra that’s made of a cotton and lycra blend when they do yoga. Loose tee shirts and underwire bras are usually a no-no because they have a tendency to get in the way of movement.

    For the bottoms, most women prefer to wear tights. These comfortable and stretchable pants will provide you with a full range of movement and allow your instructor to check your alignment. For slower-paced classes, you may be able to pull off wearing long skirts or stretchable harlem pants.

    Kristi was born and raised just up the road in Mount Airy and frequented Winston-Salem often growing up for school field trips, shopping, and dining. After attending Appalachian State University, and a brief stint living in Southern Virginia, Kristi returned to Winston-Salem, NC in 1999 and began her work in non-profit, public relations and writing. She and her family enjoy the convenience of living near downtown Winston-Salem. She enjoys the arts, photography and cooking. “I’m a small town girl at heart, but Winston-Salem isn’t an overwhelming city.
