What are people saying about yoga in Providence, RI?
This is a review for yoga in Providence, RI:
“I don’t even want to give PPY a 5 star rating because it will crowd up my yoga classes This place has been a little oasis in the midst of a hectic work week and I am so grateful to have found them!!! The trainers are so kind and seem to care so much more about your well-being and mindset than other places I’ve been. It is definitely a bit more advance, I don’t know how many first time yoga-goers I would recommend it to, but if they hold a yoga 101 course I’m sure it is/would be an awesome place to learn the basics. I would recommend knowing basic poses and their Sanskrit names for a majority of the classes. There is a good balance between physically intensive and restorative/meditative classes, but the spectrum is wide so be sure you know what you’re signing up for!!!!”

High quality of teaching, adhering to Iyengar structure yet personalizing the experience for each student as a 70-year-old person continuing with yoga, I began studying Iyengar in the 1980’s , I appreciate that as an older student, I am addressed in a positive way with integrity.

Jala Studio Yoga & Art
This tiny dive on historic Benefit Street is a wonderful yogic sanctuary with great 45 minute Lunch Flow and Lunch Vinyasa classes, which are 45 minutes long so that clients have time to practice during weekday lunch hours. Jala Studio specializes in Jivamukti and Ashtanga yoga, which are taught in a serene, art-filled environment. The studio offers classes every day of the week with occasional Mysore, Yin, and Vinyasa Flow classes scheduled alongside weekly meditation and pilates classes, for those interested in diversifying their practice.
We like the Community Vinyasa Classes as well as the fact that the owners frequently stock fresh orchids in this brightly lit, street-front space.
Jala Studio is small, and though she is humble, the instructors have a deep appreciation for the philosophic underpinnings of yoga, which they masterfully impart through each class. For the full experience, take a class with Bristol.
As a result, this is a great studio for people seeking fitness with a little bit of spiritual practice woven throughout.
And oh yeah, the art: Jalas on-site gallery exhibits artwork inspired by yogic practices, which is a plus for people who crave authenticity.

The 5 Best Hippest Yoga Studios In Providence
February 8, 2021 by Molly Beauchemin
With hipster enclaves surrounding institutions like Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, Rhode Island necessarily boasts a number of excellent, modern yoga studios. As a complement to the burgeoning vegan/vegetarian food scene that has sprouted up in recent years, Providences best yoga studios capture two integral aspects of modern living in the city.
First is the collective desire to wind down from modern feelings of overwhelm and second is a progressive social ethos that has defined this city for decades.

In a few short words, we explore what, exactly, makes each yogic community so special and why we think each is worthy of a visit. So dig deep, breathe deeper, and relax into your best self at any of these charming Providence yoga studios. Rhode Island Hot Yoga

Rhode Island Hot Yoga is an affordable, approachable yoga studio with locations in Providence and Bristol. While its hard to find a hot yoga studio that doesnt overdo it on the heat, RIHY delivers.
We love the natural light in this renovated mill space and the fact that they have nice showers. The on-site boutique sells yoga clothes and props at market prices. They also offer hot pilates classes and an impressive 21-day trial membership for newcomers thats only $29.
College students and military service members are eligible for additional discounts.
Meanwhile, parking is available near Valley and Delaine Street, but it can be tricky for first-time visitors. If youre unsure where youre going, be sure to look at the map on their website before you go.
And this may go without saying, but be sure to bring a towel. As you would at any good hot yoga studio, you will definitely work up a sweat!

Parent + Little Baby Yoga
Hybrid classes for parents with babies 4 weeks to crawling. Classes provide moms, parents, or caregivers a relaxed virtual space to connect with other parents as they explore the physical and emotional joys and challenges of caring for an infant.
Community is vital to every humans health, and only more so during the childbearing years and in times of stress. We are striving to support that same sense of connection online. The first half-hour of each class is a time to say hello, share questions and resources, and to laugh and cry at the glories and hardships in life.
Following community time, we will practice postures and breathwork focused on supporting postpartum healing and easing physical and emotional aches and fatigue caused by round-the-clock infant care. While classes focus on the mother or partner/caregiver, infant massage and movement exercises are included to support infant health and parent-infant bonding.
All levels are welcome. Birth parents less than 4 weeks out from surgery are encouraged to join the community portion but wait until 4 weeks for the movement portion of the class.

What Our Students Are Saying
I highly recommend Create Power Yoga! The prices are affordable compared to other yoga studios in the area. Vinyasa is their most popular class and it is a great workout. The staff is always helpful and welcoming, especially for beginners who are hesitant to try a class.
I am a senior and have been going here since 2015. It is amazing how good you feel after class and there is no judging by the instructors or your classmates. Everyone should try at least once. You leave relaxed and limber. And in this stressful environment, you leave with a peaceful and hopeful mind.
Petra and the team of yoga instructors at CPY are warm and welcoming to all and make the new and experienced yogi’s comfortable. Love the studio, it has a calming atmosphere for the body/mind practice. So happy to have found CPY!!
My favorite place in the whole wide world. Its the only place I can go and truly feel at peace. I love the new “pop-up classes” and the owner is always going above and beyond to create new adventures for their members. The staff is so super awesome and genuinely caring about your well being. I’m a big fan!
I have been taking classes at Create Power Yoga for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it. The heated classes are the perfect balance of stretch and strength. Breath is emphasized in class. I’ve never heard so many yogis ujjayi breathing in one place, it is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking for some heat and a challenge.
