Most forms of yoga today are dynamic, active practices designed to work only half of the body, the muscular half, the Yang tissues. Yin Yoga allows us to work the other half, the deeper Yin tissues of our ligaments, joints, deep fascial networks, and even our bones. All of our tissue are important and need to be exercised so that we can achieve optimal health and vitality.
The full yin Yoga TTC consists of 2 progressive modules delivered over 6-days, to create a comprehensive 50-hour certification. All modules are taught by Sumit Manav.
Each module includes a detailed lecture and discussion, combined with a led class and ample movement play so you can integrate the concepts into your teaching through your own direct, embodied experience.

This Course Can Be Booked As A Personal Journey Or As A Teacher Training
The Yin Yoga training can be undertaken in one or two modules . Each 50-hour course is a stand alone training immersion with a 50-hour certificate. After completion of the two 50-hour modules you will receive a 100-hour certificate.
When you join part 1 & 2, you will enjoy a 1-on-1 coaching program that will support you toward successful assimilation, embodiment and sharing of yin yogas wisdom and effectiveness between the courses.
Recognised by Yoga Alliance US and can be taken as hours toward Continuing Professional Development with the British Wheel and other organisations and trainings.

Module 1: Yin Yoga Fundamentals
During this training you will learn how to teach Yin Yoga from a functional approach rather than an aesthetic or performance-related approach to yoga, with the aim of creating a meaningful experience for yourself and your students, to explore a personal yoga. You will study Yin Yoga with an approach to promote awareness of what is happening in the whole person through the body. The training is aimed at those who want a deeper understanding of Yin Yoga.
Pre-requisites. While there are no pre-requisites for this course, it is recommended that you have practiced yoga for a minimum of a year. This course is for those who want to deepen their own practice and understanding of themselves and for those who want to teach Yin Yoga .

How Do I Get Certified In Yin Yoga
Yin yoga certification is awarded through individual yoga teacher training locations. In many cases now youll even be able to get your yoga certification online and then can supplement with additional certifications or continuing education modules like Yin Yoga. The main yoga certification entity, Yoga Alliance doesnt offer a Yin yoga teacher training certification. But, once you finish a Yin yoga teacher training course, you can register those hours spend in class as continuing education credit hours with the Yoga Alliance.
Also, the actual certificate that you earn from Yin yoga teacher training will be valuable as it will show current and potential students that you are an expert at teaching Yin yoga. They will trust that you will keep them safe, and you may even see an uptick in word-of-mouth business when potential students learn that you have a Yin yoga teacher training certificate.
Personally, I would rather choose a teacher with a Yin yoga teacher training certificate than one without. As a yoga teacher myself, I know how important it is to keep our students safe. And one way to keep a yoga student safe is to have a good understanding of the human body and how to offer adjustments and modifications if a pose is too difficult or causing the practitioner pain or discomfort. And, if a yoga teacher doesnt have a good understanding of Yin yoga and its intense yet slow poses, then they may not be able to adequately and safely guide their students.
