On the American late-night live television sketch comedy and variety show Saturday Night Live , a is commonly shown after the host’s opening monologue. Many of the parodies were produced by James Signorelli. Base on the subtitle of this review I could see how one might have some pretty high expectations as to what Im about to say in this post, but, unfortunately, just like with the episode, the self-sucking reference was the only thing that was over-the-top to the point where it was interesting. Fortunately, as far as the episode goes, I was expecting a more mellow night since I really like Tobey Maguires indie work in films like Ice Storm, Fear And Loathing, and Wonder Boys but never found him to be funniest enough to think of him as an SNL host.
Well, at least not a host who would blow me away with laughter. No, I pretty much expected exactly what this episode gave, a night that was fun enough to keep me entertained, while, at best, landing dead center in the middle of my list of favorites. Granted, it didnt help that I had never seen the movie The Cider House Rules so right out the gate I felt a little lost during The Studio 8-H Rules parody to the point where I had to do a bit of research to figure out what the hell was going on.
Well have to see how he does if they do have him back during his Spider-Man days when he might have more of a mainstream outlook on humor. Again, I dont see this visit as a flaw but I didnt find it to be more than average, and since that was my expectation, I wasnt let down at all.

And it’s a great line to pull out in those heated arguments with your significant other.

And while this isn’t exactly a “Will Ferrell character” in the classic sense, it’s too insanely funny not to mention.
In the skit, Ferrell is late paying rent and is harassed by his landlord Pearl, who is revealed to be a potty-mouthed toddler — she’s McCay’s daughter IRL. Pearl verbally accosts Ferrell until he is reduced to tears. As is often the case, it’s Ferrell’s exaggerated reactions that make this character great.

Will Ferrell reprised his beloved George W. Bush impression on Saturday Night Live this week. The comedian opened the show dressed as a spitting image of the former president to remind Americans how “bad” he was when he was in the White House. “I’m suddenly popular AF,” Ferrell as Bush joked in reference to President Donald Trump’s historically low approval ratings. “I just wanted to address my fellow Americans tonight and remind you guys that I was really bad.” Ferrell then proceeded to list out the ways Bush failed as president: ignited two wars, crashed the stock market, and prompted the rise of ISIS.
