Do I Need A Yoga Alliance Certificaction

Many international Yoga schools & studios may potentially prioritize Yoga Teachers who are registered with Yoga Alliance. This is a way for studio owners and Yoga Teacher Training coordinators to understand the quality of education that the Yoga Teacher received.

Once you complete a Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Teacher Training Course, you can register with YA and be a part of their international database of Yoga Teachers.

There is definitely the potential to get hired & teach yoga without a Yoga Alliance certification. With proper research, you can ensure that your YTT is up to par by asking many questions, looking into your facilitators, and reading reviews about the Yoga School. You do receive a certification from most non-Yoga Alliance courses as well!!

Thank You For Sharing This Journey With Me

Its official, completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training with . Without sounding cliché, this journey was life changing. When we think of yoga we often only think of the physical practice, poses, turning oneself into a pretzel! Its the western way of thinking, and we forget about the connection to the mind and soul. We forget that yoga is also about the breath, meditation, energy systems and the power of what this connection can bring to our lives. I am full of gratitude! I have found a deeper purpose from this journey and I look forward to what lies ahead to help others live a more healthy, and meaningful life.

To all my teachers Bente, Maria, Sean, Rachel, Analu, Magdalena thank you for inspiring me, I have a light inside that is shining brighter then ever! And to my fellow classmates, thank you for sharing this journey with me, for being vulnerable, and for being courageous! I do not believe we came together by chance, but more so to each learn and grow from one another.

Don’t Miss: How Long Should I Wait To Workout After Botox

When Should I Do It

Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Trainings are usually add-ons for established yoga teachers to be able to extend their knowledge into teaching pre- and postnatal yoga to women. The length of the courses therefore ranges from 40-100 hours, and they are taught over everything from an extensive weekend course, a few days spread out over weeks or months to 12 intensive days. On top of the training days, most of the courses require a certain number of hours of self-study. When you make a decision to do a training, you will have to consider what you think would work the best for you and what kind of course you are able to commit to.

Some people find the intensive training really rewarding. There you will really get a chance to submerge yourself in the training and because most of these will be residential courses, you will be surrounded by a group of people with similar goals and mindsets. Others find that it is useful to spread it out over a longer period, this way you will have time to absorb and process the new knowledge in between course days, and maybe even slowly start to implement it into your current yoga classes.
