This energy must be saved or protected by applying suitable locking methods. Meditation Techniques Of The Kriya Yoga Path
God seeks willing hearts that He may give His bounties to them. That is most beautiful, and that is what I believe. God seeks willing hearts for the bestowal of His gifts. He is willing to give us everything, but we are not willing to make the effort to be receptive.
Paramahansa Yogananda provides a description of Kriya Yoga in his Autobiography of a Yogi. The actual technique is given to students of the Yogoda Satsanga Lessons after a preliminary period of study and practise of the three preparatory techniques taught by Paramahansa Yogananda.
Taken together as a comprehensive system, these meditation techniques enable the practitioner to achieve the highest benefits and divine goal of the ancient yoga science.

However, the Kriya Yoga tradition that Sri M teaches traces back to the same lineage as that of Sri Lahiri Mahasaya, and is more or less the same technique that was popularised by Paramahansa Yogananda. Both are similar and the technique that is taught here may have a few additions or subtractions, often depending upon what suits the individual aspirant.

Is Kriya Yoga And Raja Yoga Same
Practicing yoga might help you to relax and quiet your racing thoughts. The practice of Kriya is an action that purifies us of the physical and mental impurities that obstruct our ability to enjoy tranquillity and peace of mind. Patanjali identifies three observances as being essential to growth: tapas, svadhyaya, and Ishwara pranidhana. These are the three observances that Patanjali believes are necessary for advancement.

What Exactly Is Meditation
Sadhguru: The moment we utter the word meditation, there are all kinds of misconceptions about it. First of all, the English word meditation doesnt mean anything in the sense, if you close your eyes and sit, in English we call it meditation. You can sit with your eyes closed and do many things. There are many dimensions. You can do japa, tapa, dharana, dhyana, samadhi, shoonya. Or you might have just mastered the art of sleeping in vertical postures!
So what is this thing that we call as meditation? Generally we assume that people are referring to what is known as dhyan or dhyana. In that context of referring to dhyan as meditation, it is not something that you can do. Nobody can do meditation. The reason why most people who have tried meditation have come to the conclusion that its very difficult or impossible is because they are trying to do it.
You cannot do meditation but you can become meditative. Meditation is a certain quality. It is not a certain act. If you cultivate your body, your mind, your energies and your emotions to a certain level of maturity, meditation will naturally happen. It is just like if you keep the soil fertile, if you give it the necessary manure and water and if the right kind of seed is there, it will grow and bloom into flowers and fruits.

What Are The Differences Between Kriya And Kundalini
Getting confused between Kriya Yoga and Kundalini Yoga isnt uncommon at all, especially as Kundalini Yoga includes the use of Kriyas in its practice and Kriya Yoga helps to awaken kundalini energy.
As I mentioned previously, the word Kriya means action, and in Kundalini Yoga Kriyas refer to a set of techniques and exercises used to unblock energy channels in the body and control this energy.
The word Kundalini means coiled one in Sanskrit, which refers to the coiled life force which lays dormant at the bottom of our spine and can be awakened through certain yoga techniques.
Both Kriya and Kundalini are concerned with directly awakening and controlling this life energy in order to achieve spiritual awareness, however, while the two are very closely related, theyre not identical.
Practitioners of Kriya Yoga believe that the awakening of Kundalini energy needs to be done as a part of a wider spiritual path in order for it to be controlled safely, which is what makes it so effective.
Kundalini Yoga, on the other hand, is a physical and mental discipline that can be practised without any prior spiritual learning or special initiation .
Are There Any Charges To Learn Kriya Yoga
Sri M does not teach Kriya Yoga as a paid course or as a meditation franchise.
A genuine aspirant may only be requested to offer a flower or a coin, which is regarded as a traditional symbolic practise of Guru Dakshina representing an aspirants offering of sincerity and willingness to learn. However, there may be cost involved for food, accommodation and other expenses in case of a residential program.

I Have Attended An Event/retreat And Practised What I Have Learnt So Far How Do I Learn The Advanced Kriya Techniques
Sri M answers this by sharing a story of Lahiri Mahasaya ji . This story involved two of Lahiri Mahasayas Kriya Yoga disciples. The first disciple was a humble postman, who practised sincerely. The second disciple was one who was convinced that his worth was not being evaluated.
One day, he decided to ask Lahiri Mahasaya why he was not giving him the advanced technique. Why is he still being made to practise the basics? He confronted Lahiri Mahasaya and demanded that he be taught the advanced technique! Mahasaya remained silent. The disciple waited eagerly for a reply.
After a few contemplative minutes, the postman walked in to hand over the mail. Mahasaya simply inquired, Tell me, havent you been practising the basics every day since a long time? Do you want the advanced technique now? The postmaster replied No sir, Im so satisfied with my first round of practise of the basics that I dare not ask for anything more. I dont think Ill be able to take it On hearing this Mahasaya looked at him keenly and said Good, you are genuinely ready for the advanced technique.
As Sri M says this is Food for Thought.

Kriya Yoga A Powerful Way To Walk The Spiritual Path
Yogi and mystic, Sadhguru, looks at what kriya yoga means, and what it takes to walk this path and explore the very mechanics of the life process.
Yogi and mystic, Sadhguru, looks at what kriya yoga means, and what it takes to walk this path and explore the very mechanics of the life process.
Sadhguru: Fundamentally, kriya means internal action. When you do inner action, it does not involve the body and the mind because both the body and the mind are still external to you. When you have a certain mastery to do action with your energy, then it is a kriya.
If you do external activity we call it karma. If you do internal activity we call it kriya. In a way, both are certain kind of karmas or both are certain kind of kriyas. But traditionally, or in the general sense of the term it is understood like this: karmas are those which bind you, kriyas are those which release you.
Once we start working with the energy in a certain way, it has a different kind of depth to life
Meditation Techniques Of Kriyayoga Meditation
1. Standing Recharging 1 – 42 Steps
The Science of Recharging of body and mind
The science of Recharging is the practice of various steps to experience presence of life force in countless dimensions in our body. It provides balanced health of body, mind and Soul. Recharging helps the conscious control of the life force, keeping the body in a state of calmness, peace and joy, which is essential for experiencing Savikalpa and Nirvikalpa Samadhi. The primary purpose of Standing Recharging is to recharge the body battery with Cosmic Energy . Remember that Standing Recharging is the important step of Kriyayoga Meditation and that it is not a physical exercise.
Mastery over Recharging brings an ability to stop restlessness and sense perceptions at will. Recharging rejuvenates and strengthens the muscles and purifies the blood. Recharging increases spiritual vibrations in the protoplasm of cells and tissues of the body which stops destructive behavior of viruses and bacteria within body. In this state, bacteria and viruses do not disturb the various activities of cells and tissues in the body. After learning the Standing Recharging 1-42 steps, it takes about 20-25 minutes to complete. This is one of the most effective means of eliminating stress and nervous tension.
