Which Country Do You Want To Go
India, Bali, Nepal and Thailand are no doubt the best yoga destinations that offer some extraordinary yoga teacher training programs. India being the birth mother of yoga, has some of the most splendid yoga schools in the world.
Exotic Bali is easy on the pocket but not more than Nepal. In Nepal, you will find some excellent programs which dont require you to spend much money but will ask for your full dedication and sincerity.
Thailand is another exotic country full of pristine beaches and fierce yoga studios. So, choose the country your heart feels called to and then fly.
Make A Target List Of Studios You Want To Teach At
Most young teachers go out blindly knocking on doors trying to pick up teaching gigs without any intention, and this ends up hurting them in the long run. Its important to align yourself with studios that you believe in and that are managed well enough to continue to expand. If the studio is growing, naturally you will have the opportunity to grow with that studio. Your yoga instructor career depends on it.
I highly recommend to young, ambitious teachers that they try to break into the larger, well-known studios when starting.
It can be harder at first, but this will forever give you a leg up in your yoga teacher career. Your future employers will gauge your skills as a teacher based on where youve taught in the past, and teaching at a big-named studio early in your career can catapult you into opportunities more quickly.
Practice Hard And Give It All You Got
As you find the perfect yoga school and start your teacher training program, give it all you got and give it your hundred per cent.
Your main focus should be to learn as much as you can and as deeply as you can. A good teacher is forever a good student. Practice hard and understand the philosophy of yoga. When you understand the philosophy of yoga combined with a solid practice, you will be unstoppable.
The passion with which you practice and live the wisdom of yoga in your day-to-day to life will help you tremendously in becoming an excellent certified yoga teacher.
The process of becoming a certified yoga teacher is a life-changing and transformational process. It brings a profound change and transformation in you that will forever change how you live life and respond to life.
The yoga teacher training program is an initiation into spiritual warriorship. This process is deeply transformational because it awakens your soul and spirit. You learn how to face lifes difficulties with strength and compassion, which is the mark of a true spiritual warrior.
So, give it all you have, learn as much as you can and as you graduate from your first yoga teacher training course be prepared to shine your light in the world with the ancient science of yoga.

Be Willing To Volunteer To Get Practice Teaching Yoga
Let me give it to you straight A three-week training doesnt make you a yoga teacher. Only practice does. Volunteering is a great chance to gain valuable experience and confidence in your teaching abilities. I loved teaching free community yoga classes at Radiantly Alive Yoga in Ubud and jumped at every opportunity. When I was volunteering in Cambodia I got to teach between 1 and 3 classes a day and my teaching skills made a big step forward. Having said that, I think if youve been teaching for longer you should always ask for payment. We all have to make a living and yoga teacher training is expensive.
