You may have noticed that the Funky Buddha Boutique has been going through some major overhaul. Just as the Funky Buddha has evolved, so have our retail offerings. When the Funky Buddha opened almost 6 years ago , there was no hot yoga scene in Grand Rapids and absolutely no hot yoga CLOTHING scene. In fact, athleisure was not even a made up word yet. If you wanted yoga clothes, the choices were slim. But in a very short time, the world has caught oncaught onto yoga, caught onto yoga gear, and caught on to yoga clothes. Now you can buy a pair of yoga pants pretty much ANYWHERE.
As such, the Funky Buddha Boutique strategy has changed. Fewer basic basics . More unique cool stuff that you cant get everywhere. More variety. More locally made accessories and fun stuff. Made in Michigan. Hell YES!! Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary With Week

Grand Rapids, Mich.,Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse celebrates its 5th anniversary in true Funky Buddha style: with live music, a DJed laser light show yoga class, sales, delicious food, and sweaty hot yoga classes from Tuesday, December 1 through Saturday, December 5. This week-long celebration commemorates the opening of its Eastown studio 5 years ago on December 1, 2010.
Since then, Funky Buddha Yoga has grown to three locations, which include Holland and Forest Hills , with more than 100 classes a week in service to its growing member base. Owners Chris and Kerri Reinbold saw a need for an accessible hot yoga studio in Grand Rapids in 2010 and Funky Buddha Yoga was born.
“It’s an understatement to say how grateful we are to the West Michigan community for their full-on embrace of Funky Buddha Yoga just five years ago, said Kerri Reinbold, Co-Founder of Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse. Our growth and continued success is due to our amazing staff and students who always show up ready to sweat and have fun. There are a lot of thanks to go around.
The funky celebration will host special laser light show hot yoga classes showcasing local DJ AJ Paschka, a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, December 1 with representatives of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, and special sales at all three locations.
