The Main Differences Between The Chirpwheel Vs Yoga Wheel
Both online reviews and information provided on the company site state that the Chirp wheel is better for rehabilitation than standard yoga wheels, as they are specifically designed for those who are recovering from physical injury or individuals who are suffering from chronic back pain as a result of illness whereas Yoga wheels are not
The Chirp wheel specifically has also been supported by healthcare professionals such as chiropractors and physiotherapists. In contrast, various Yoga wheels have not, and are better suited for individuals with only mild or moderate back pain and as a result, more suited to temporary discomforts such as an awkward nights sleep, a long week working at a desk, or stiffness.
Chirpwheels are more sensitive and less painful than Yoga wheels as, unlike yoga wheels, the Chirp wheel has a small groove within the wheel which is suited to the curve of your spine and therefore less likely to cause pain or discomfort, whereas yoga wheels do not contain this feature.
Chirp wheels offer a deeper stretch than Yoga wheels offer, whereas yoga wheels only offer a two-way stretch Chirp wheels offer a four-way stretch. This is due to the Chirp wheels groove, which the standard yoga wheel does not.
Chirp wheels have almost two times more padding than standard Yoga wheels, which is why it is often reported as more comfortable to use, whereas Yoga wheels only have 5-10mm of padding.

Is your back screaming in agony? If you’re one of the millions of Americans living with back pain, it’s time to take action.
Pinched nerves and tight muscles can cause problems with your back, leading to pain. Many physiotherapists and chiropractors recommend patients stretch out their spine using a yoga wheel.
The yoga wheel improves mobility in the vertebrae, relieving the pressure on trapped nerves of spasming muscles.
However, is the yoga wheel the right option for your rehabilitation? This post examines the difference between the Chirp Wheel vs yoga wheel for treating your back pain.
Chirp Wheel Vs Foam Roller How Do They Work
A traditional foam roller is a great at-home device for soft tissue massage and self-manipulation of the mid and upper back.
However, they come in small diameters and mostly suit all-round body use. A foam roller can help you work the tension out of stiff and sore muscles, and it also provides minor spinal manipulation for pain relief. We also have a deeper Chirp Wheel review as well to understand its impact on back tension.
With the Chirp Wheel and Chirp Plus, you get a larger diameter, giving you spine more range-of-motion in a stretch. The Chirp Wheel has a dedicated design for stretching out the spine, with the center groove in the wheel stretching out your spinal joints.

Chirp Wheel Vs Foam Roller
Foam rollers are useful for a quick at home application of soft tissue massage releasing tension throughout your body.
These rollers are generally used to relieve pain in sore or overworked muscles and can be used to relieve minor back pain.
The smaller diameter of the foam roller limits its ability to provide a full stretch of the lower back.
The Chirp Wheel provides a deeper multi directional stretch with all three wheels, allows for full range of motion.
But, before we get to the chart lets take a break and watch this unique demonstration:
How Can You Use Chirp Wheel
Using the Chirp Wheel is easy because you can use it anywhere you have enough space to lay down. This includes in the middle of your living room floor or right next to your bed. With the larger wheels, you can place one flat on the floor and sit down in front of it. Carefully lean back until your shoulders fall on either side of the channel. You should keep leaning back until your head almost touches the wheel. Its then a simple matter of rolling your back along the wheel, which helps you stretch all of your muscle groups.
You can use the smaller wheel in a similar way. Place the wheel on a seat and sit down. Youll lean back until you touch the wheel and get in a comfortable position. As long as you roll your back and neck along the wheel, you should feel your muscles stretch. If you want to use one of the small wheels in a standing position, decide where you want to work. Youll place the wheel between the back of your upper body and the wall. As you move, the Chirp Wheel will move with you. You can work on your back or neck in a standing position.

How Does The Chirp Wheel+ Work
The Chirp Wheel+ is designed primarily to massage both your back muscles and your skeletal structure. The wheels unique build helps relieve pain in your back and provides relief in all areas. The wheel applies tension in just the right areas, which can help you knead knots, relieve lower back tension, and even alleviate headaches and neck pain.
Whereas traditional foam rollers spread pressure across the entire back, the Chirp Wheels unique design allows it to reach the muscle tissue close to the spine, giving users a more targeted and effective deep tissue back massage. This is the main appeal of these back rollers. They are effective at massaging the muscles around the spine which provides the most effective relief of tight muscles and back pain.
Shipping And Return Policy
While itâs always unfortunate that the product you purchased might end up not being right for you, itâs still a realistic possibility at the end of the day.

However, Chirpâs return policy is much more generous as they offer a Happy Body Guarantee, which allows customers to return their yoga wheels up to 60 days after purchase if theyre not satisfied.
UpCircleSevenâs policy only allows returns up to 30 days after purchase.

How Does The Chirp Wheel Work On Your Back
From the Chirp website: The Chirp Wheel puts pressure on the muscles surrounding the spine. In doing so, the muscles are stretched and strengthened. The technical term for this is Myofascial Release. Myofascial is a fancy word for muscle, and release is referring to the tension within the muscle.
Effectively, my understanding, as a non-professional, albeit someone who has asked many of qualified professionals questions about this in the past, the intention of such massages is that if the back muscles are stretched in the right way, there is a release and that should result in reduced tension pretty much immediately.
This often also results in the much sought-after back popping or cracking sounds, which is apparently actually a result of the pressure within the joint changing . The Chirp Wheel back roller really does work wonders for relieving back pain and tension, and thats exactly why we use it every evening after a long day.
Chirp has a list of FAQ on their website, as well as more information on the back roller wheel and some video demonstrations. Its also worth noting that if the Chirp Wheel doesnt work for you as you would hope, they offer a 60-day satisfaction guarantee so you can return it.
Chirp Wheel Review Back Pain Relief For The Rest Of Us
Back pain relief just got a little easier thanks to the Chirp Wheel. We are thrilled to have discovered how this back roller wheel is a simple yet effective way to relieve our back pain.
Last year the folks at Chirp sent Janice and I each a set of sample Chirp Wheels for us to write this Chirp Wheel+ review and they sponsored this post so that we could invest the time in writing about our experiences and photographing the Chirp Wheels. And we love these yoga wheels so much that weve updated this post to share it with you again.
The Chirp Wheel, which was previously called the Plexus Wheel, is a special type of yoga wheel and it is one of my all-time favorite products that Ive ever reviewed.
I received a set of these three different size yoga wheels last year to review. Id never even heard of a yoga wheel before and to be honest, Im not great about exercising regularly.
But I started using them and I havent stopped. Ive rolled my back out for a few minutes almost every day for over a year. Sometimes Ill use the three different wheels as part of a more extensive stretching and mini yoga session but other times I will just stretch and massage my back by rolling for a couple minutes on each of the different wheels, starting with the largest.
A Chirp Wheel bundle is definitely my TOP GIFT IDEA for anyone who sits at a computer or has a sore back.
If the term yoga wheel intimidates you dont worry.

Chirp Wheel Review : Does It Really Work
I first came across the already very successful Chirp Wheel on a Shark Tank rerun, and my interest was piqued when I saw that the founders actually got a rather significant deal. The program, which sees entrepreneurs from around the world pitch their business models to a panel of potential investors, finished with TV personality and inventor Lori Greiner investing $900k in the Tate Stock invention for a 2.5% equity share.
I think most people have suffered from some degree of back pain at some point , so I can see why a gadget with such a simple premise could become wildly popular. Chirp is basically a wheel that is designed to fit between the shoulder blades and gives a deep, targetted stretch to the muscles surrounding the spine. This releases tension in the muscles and relieves pain. Sounds good? Yep, and its pretty affordable too.
But is it really THAT good?
Im not sure theres any such thing as a miracle product when it comes to back pain relief. But I sure wouldnt mind investing in a great product that offers SOME relief, and so I decided to test it out for myself. This Chirp Wheel review is based on my own experience as well as the many other customer reviews I researched before I got on board.

What size yoga wheel should I get?
Each wheel size provides a different pressure. The larger wheels are better for beginners as they help ease into the stretch without overstretching tight muscles. The smaller ones are better for deep tissue and muscles that need extra pressure and for posture correction while you sit.
Can you crack your back using a yoga wheel?
Rolling on the yoga wheel and massaging the muscles around your spine can definitely help you crack your back. You may also feel your vertebrae pop back into place . This will be a good sign that your spine is flexible and getting movement.
Can you use a yoga wheel for neck pain?
Yes, you can use a small yoga wheel to roll over your neck muscles, massage, and stretch them while decompressing your cervical spine. The Excellent Chirp Wheel comes in 3 sizes, and the smallest one is perfect for neck pain release.

The Chirp Wheel Vs The Foam Roller
Foam rollers are wider than the yoga wheels. They are great for performing deep tissue release on big muscles such as the latissimus dorsi, the hip flexors, the TFL, and also the upper back.
But when it comes to working on the lower back, its very hard to do it with the foam roller. In fact, you should never foam roll your lower back.
If you have any disc or nerve issues, its never a good idea to foam roll the lower back as you can cause further disc damage.
The lumbar spine isnt supported by the rib case like the upper back. So you dont want to place any direct pressure on it.
This is why the chirp wheel is so useful and effective.
The Chirp Wheel that I use has a gap in the middle so that youre able to foam roll the lower back muscles without putting any pressure on the spine.
I thought that was genius!
You just want to make sure, of course, the gap is right underneath your back and thats something you can feel by checking first with your hands after you lie on the wheel.

How Do You Know What Size Chirp Wheel Is Best For You
There are now 5 different size Chirp Wheels, the fifth size being the Chirp Wheel Pro more on that unique back massage roller below.
In addition to the gentle 12-inch back roller wheel, theres also the 10 inch Firm, 6 inch Deep Tissue, and the 4 inch Focus wheel sizes. You can also buy a set of all four at a reduced bundle price!
The 10 inch Firm Wheel can be used in the same way as the 12 inch Gentle Wheel and is also a little easier to use if youre using it against a wall, rather than on the floor. Personally, I prefer to roll on my Chirp Wheel on the floor and the 12-inch model works great for that. That said, we have the other Chirp wheels and my other favorites are the 8 inch Pro, and 6 inch wheels.
The 6 inch Deep Tissue Chirp Wheel size is described as being for deep tissue massage, and great for neck and posture correction. As it is half the diameter of the 12-inch its also more portable if youre planning on traveling with it. Given that it is smaller it is going to give a more intense stretch, which may good for stubborn tight muscles, but also could be a bit too intense, especially if youre new to stretching and massaging your back.
The 4 inch Focus Chirp wheel targets key pressure points in your neck to reduce tension headaches and relieve neck pain so its not a back roller, its a neck roller!
