A firm believer that black leggings are the best leggings, I ordered Kylie’s sporty black-and-white striped Legit Leggings and Gigi’s sleek black Airlift Leggings. I got both in sizes extra small and small so I could compare the fit. While the extra small was perfectly fine, I found the small to be a little more forgiving and comfortable, especially around my thighs.
Just like my favorite pair of Lululemons, the Alo leggings also have a high waist that’s as flattering as it is comfy . It stays in place, too, and doesn’t roll down when you’re working out, which is a major pet peeve of mine.
More importantly, the sweat-wicking fabric that they’re made of is both breathable and supportive with just the right amount of compression. That means I can wear them in a 110-degree yoga class without dying and also when I do higher-intensity exercises like running or lifting weights. The fabric is also thick enough that it isn’t see-through, which I very much appreciate when I’m doing squats in a room full of gym bros or teaching 30 people how to do down dog.

All the leggings in the Alo Yoga Airbrush collection feature the outstanding Airbrush fabric. It is slightly thicker than the Airlift fabric, so you feel slightly more compressed. The fabric is known to be sculpting and lifting, so they are very flattering, But the fabric is also four-way stretch, so it moves with you. Alo Yoga Airbrush vs Airlift
Wondering what the difference is between Airbrush and Airlift? While the Airbrush were the original Alo leggings, the Airlift was launched in 2018. The original Airbrush style is thick, high compression, and more durable. It has a cotton-esque fabric feel. Should you choose the Airlift, you get an altogether lighter material. Its a smooth fabric with a slight sheen, which carries colour beautifully.
Which you happen to choose depends on whether you prefer a sheen or matt finish and the activity you plan to do. For hot yoga and the sweatiest of workouts, you should opt for the lighter Airlift, rather than the Airbrush.
Are Alo Yoga Leggings Worth Buying
I love wearing my Alo Airlift leggings to yoga.
In general, I’m a big fan of Alo leggings. They’re flattering, comfortable, and incredibly high quality. I’ve been wearing mine at least four times a weekfor everything from hot yoga to spinand they’ve been holding up great. I love that I can wear them for almost any occasion and that, when I’m working out, they provide the right amount of both comfort and compression.
That being said, if you have short legs or a longer torso, they may not fit as well as you’d like. For me personally, the Lululemon Aligns are a better fit for both my legs and my torso .
