Yoga Teacher Training 200
Program starts January 21st
The Session School of Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training program is facilitated by Chelsea Lucas and teachers. This comprehensive, respected and reputable program is designed to inspire and transform those seeking to progress their personal development or to become knowledgeable, intuitive yoga teachers. Students will learn about history, asana, breath work and meditation from the roots of yoga through to the evolution of modern Hot Power Yoga. This practical and experiential program will also equip students with knowledge and skills in anatomy, alignment, hands-on assisting, class sequencing, and teaching from each students unique life experiences.
The Teacher Training program offers small class sizes to allow for personalized support and instruction. Students receive ongoing support and teacher access both during and after completion of the program. Program scheduling allows students to immerse themselves in the life-changing experience of Teacher Training while still maintaining balance in the other areas of work and home life.
Graduates from the Session School of Yoga Teacher Training program will move forward in life empowered with the skills to teach a safe, powerful Vinyasa Yoga class and will be eligible to register with the Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level.

Sewall House is a historic house turned yoga center in the rolling hills of Maine. The headteacher and owner, Donna, has maintained her familys home to keep the 20th-century charm. Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Schools

A common question is that if a 200 hour yoga training instructor certification be enough to learn to teach yoga. A two year course which takes place once a week for three hours will cover total of 300 hours of training but as the training will spread over a long period it will not be as effective.
We ourselves tried with weekend trainings where classes took place for 14 weekends for 6 hours each day. But we noticed that when students came back following weekend they had forgotten most of what they learnt last weekend due to the distractions and hectic lifestyle during the week. So in reality the first half day of the every weekend went in to revise what has been taught last weekend. Imagine how that will work out with once a week class over the period of two or three years.
